West Seattle murder-suicide

Cambodian-American violence not always tied to Khmer Rouge regime
After reading the article “Cambodia’s long-ago trauma leaves a ‘haunted people’
” [page one, Sept. 26], I found it very disturbing as a member of the
Cambodian-American community.
The liberal media and Dr. Carey Jackson, medical director of the international
clinic at Harborview Medical Center, are throwing the Cambodian-American
community into the same bus with mental illness by reference to the past
violence of the Khmer Rouge regime.
This article is not the first time, but there are many articles I have found in
the past where Cambodian-American’s children committed violence, even though
those children were born in the United States or somewhere else; the liberal
media always link to the past violence of the Khmer Rouge regime.
I believe labeling this community is not fair and unjust, and it is not a good
thing for Cambodian-American children for generations to come.
