The world knows that Cambodians need better life. They need to move beyond the hate rhetorics. Fighting each other must stop if they want to better life. The world can only help. The Cambodian people themselves must take the initiative for their own future. If Cambodians keep crying foul of this and that and portrait themselves as victims of this and that etc...., then Cambodians don't have the initiative to make their lives better. They are hooked with that rhetoric. If you look at the history of Cambodia, you see that Cambodians kill each others from who knows when, not just the khmer rouge era. The dictatorship of Cambodian monarchy dictated what happened to Cambodia. Today, Cambodians are crying of loosing their empire to Vietnam and Thailand. Unfortunately, the leadership of their own monarchy lead to that. That's written in the Cambodian history. Don't blame Thailand and/or Vietnam. Their own history shows it clearly. It doesn't matter how one faction think of any kind of ideology. The intention of their own individual factions dictate what happen as the result. For example, Sam Rainsy is telling the world how glory he wants his country to be in his vision. Yet, his actions clearly divide his own nation. As the result, his movement must be bad. We have seen this kind of rhetoric repeatedly throughout the Cambodian history. There is no unity among Cambodians for the interest of their own nation. Their individualism dictate their own agenda. That's why corruption and impunity are still strongly supported by the Cambodian people. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cambodia Discussion (CAMDISC) - www.cambodia.org" group.
