Neak Kampuchea,

Hinduism doesn't teach to eat fresh meat (are you aware that Hindus
even worship cows, monkeys, etc?? d'ohh!!), or to explore new lands
(Hinduism is confined to India). Even though Buddhism teaches to not
kill, there have always been butchers and fishermen. Can you tell of
any time period in Cambodia when there were no butchers and no
fishermen?? Can you tell of any time period in Cambodia when
Cambodians didn't eat meat?? The strict rules of Buddhism apply only
to monks, plus, although monks aren't allowed to kill, they're allowed
to eat meat, d'ohh!! Are you aware that the historical Buddha himself
ate meat?? Anyway, can you tell of a religion that doesn't teach to
not kill??

Do you realize that the Vietnamese and the Chinese themselves are also
Buddhists?? Kampuchea Krom was taken from Cambodia by the French, not
by any religious or political Cambodian leader, and handed over to
Vietnam. There were no immigrants to Kampuchea Krom. Kampuchea Krom
was torn apart from Cambodia and given to Vietnam by the French.
Naturally when Kampuchea Krom became a part of Vietnam, some
Vietnamese people moved in; that wasn't immigration; it was
demographic dynamic, as Kampuchea Krom is a part of Vietnam.

Are you aware that at the present time there's a movement in the West
that's fighting against eating meat?? Are you aware that former Beatle
Paul McCartney is the leading spokesman of that movement?? So, if not-
eating-meat is that harmful, why does that
movement in the West exist?? Are you aware that eating meat isn't good
for your health?? Are you aware that the Vietnamese people in Vietnam
follow the strict-rules-for-monks of Buddhism more strictly than the
Cambodian people in Cambodia do?? They have at least 1 day of being
vegetarian every month, while the Cambodians don't have anything like
that. So, are you aware that
blaming on the not-eating-meat for the ills of Cambodia is
ridiculous??

Do you realize that the Khmer Rouge were hostile to Buddhism and were
trying to erase it from Cambodia?? Thus, according to you, the Khmer
Rouge did the right thing. Hence, according to you, the genocide as
attempted by the Khmer Rouge was also right. D'ohh!!

Well Well, you double the length of your article by repeating the
entire first part of it. Why do you do that?? D'ohh!!

Are you a Hindu?? Or a Christian?? Your claim "And young Cambodian
generation will slowly change and change their minds for ever with no
way to stop them by any mean except God." is an evidence that you're
anti-Buddhism because you believe in a god while Buddhism completely
ignores the concept of god.

Stop blaming Buddhism for the ills of Cambodia. Don't try to use the
ills of Cambodia as a pretext to attack Buddhism. How many more times
do I need to educate you that Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos are also
Buddhist countries, plus they're even more Buddhist than Cambodia?? If
you're a Hindu or a Christian or a Jew or a Muslim, then admit it, so
that we would have a fair discussion.

---------- Extra (D'ohh!!)

Do you realize that blaming Buddhism for the ills of Cambodia is as
"good" as blaming Vietnam for the ills of Cambodia?? D'ohh!!

----------

Pheng
