First of all, I'd like to correct the title of this string here.
It says:"Khmer Language Is Very Important"
I want to give my two cents is that Khmer language is not important in
general.
It is important for the Cambodian people as a country.

I don't know how much you know about Cambodians who are living abroad.
The majority of their new generation DO NOT want to speak Cambodians.
Most of the rest speak very little.
It doesn't mean that the language is not important to them.

You are right. It doesn't mean that they would be better if they know
Cambodians while living in a society who only speak English. Then that
research would be innacurate.
If they live in a society where English is their primary language,
then English language is important.

What is the benefit of that?

The achiement in learning something is always good.
However, it is very wrong to put the important part to make it as a
special ingredients in life.
Don't make it what it isn't.

They do earn the praise from the society for their effort.
