The people of his district needs a representative. They voted for Sam Rainsy to stand for their district. Where is Sam Rainsy today? The answer is obvious. He is not there to represent them. Don't tell excuses such as the jailing parts in his venture affairs etc..... Those people want their representative to work for them. Sam Rainsy is their representative and is not working for them because he is running away for his life. So they need another one to work for them. > Yim Sovann, SRP spokesman, gave an interview to RFA on 20 March that there > is no reason for the SRP to ask for a replacement to Sam Rainsy, President > of the SRP, even if the NatAss ended the latter’s duty and rights as Kampong > Cham province MP. > Sam Rainsy party may be right that they don't need to ask for a replacement. But the people of his district need their representative. They are the ones who should ask for replacement. > Yim Sovann indicated that the use of the justice system to sentence Sam > Rainsy to 12-year in jail stems from Sam Rainsy’s help to farmers, > preventing these farmers from losing their rice fields, and also from Sam This is just an excuse. Sam Rainsy may have done it right according to some. Yet, he has been a representative of a place in Cambodia. And he is not doing that job for those people. It means that excuse doesn't justify that Sam Rainsy should not do the people's job that they elected him to do. > Rainsy’s decision to protect [Cambodia’s] land against foreign aggression. > On this issue, the ruling CPP intends to prevent Sam Rainsy from > participating in the political process in Cambodia: “It’s a political It still doesn't justify that Sam Rainsy is ok not to do the people's job that he was elected to do. People's job cannot be done in France. It must be done in Cambodia. Where is Sam Rainsy? Ofcourse, he is in France running for his life including abandoning the job that people elected him to do. > intention to prevent President [Sam Rainsy] from participating in the > upcoming election. President Sam Rainsy is a courageous man, he dared come > out to defend our lands against foreign aggressions. He dared protect > justice for the people, defend the land for the people, therefore, he is > considered a hero. Therefore, there is nothing against the criminal law, > nobody can stop our President from being a Member of Parliament. Therefore, > we absolutely will not present another candidate to replace him.” > You are trying to use excuses for Sam Rainsy not to do the people's job that he was elected to do. They are not a part of what he had done to put himself in that hot water. Sam Rainsy took himself out of his job that the people elected him to do. Hence, he should be replaced. > The stripping of Sam Rainsy’s rights could prevent him from presenting his > candidacy to the next general legislative election. > He should be stipped of his position because he has abandoned his job that the people had elected him to do. We are not saying that what he did was wrong right or wrong. It was another matter completely. We are merely saying that Sam Rainsy ran away and could not do the job that people had elected him to do. So those people need to elect another representative to work for them in their assembly. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cambodia Discussion (CAMDISC) - www.cambodia.org" group.
