AMMART = Fonctionaire (status and Money) commonly Ammart is working
with King
PRAI = Wild people ( Poor, no status) commonly referred to
under priviledge group of people.
In Khmer Drama the goup of Ammart is king's servant
working in the court of the king.
Cambodia and Thai have the same distinction of Ammart and Prai. The
Thai's Ammart is a yellow's shirt and the Red's shirts classified
themselves as Prai, they are both well organized.On the other hand,
Khmer Ammarts have recently re-created and incorporated in the new
society of today generation. About 99% of those Ammarts are emerging
from the jungle they used to be Prai, but when they became Ammarts
they are so wild and violent.The remnant of Ammart from old regimes
became the Prai whose lives are poor and destitude except the Prai who
live outside the country like me and Henri de Poipet..
