I am not trying to blame anyone for anything here. It's merely my
opinion.
The world donated to Cambodia for its survival with a condition that
they would reduce poverty.
One of many programs was to change the way people work for their
survival. In some other countries, it's called urbanization. It means
that they want to change from planting to harvest for their individual
families to working for companies in modern agricultural works or
other industrialization revolution.
As we have seen, this movement has very strong resistance from
Cambodians, especially from those who are living in rural areas. Land
dispute and other things are examples of the effects of that policies.

People have different opinions. However, the condition from donors are
still the same. Cambodia today is right in the middle to implement
policies to fulfill that condition.

People are protesting to keep what they have been doing all of their
lives. The government and its policies along with condition of donors
create this friction among people and governmental entities. This has
nothing to do with what kind of government it is etc........ If
Cambodian government is a communist bodies, then it should not be the
problem. It's happening when it is.
