Let me repeat endlessly about this one. I have my own line. Cambodian society embraces corruption and their culture of impunity. These are their core belief, which they have been practicing over many decades, if not centuries. Look back at the Cambodian society just from Sihanouk onto today matter. Has corruption been alive in Cambodia? Has impunity alive and well in Cambodia? Are Cambodians accepting them as part of their lives, not something bad for themselves?
I don't know about you. If people from the top all the way to the bottom act as such, then it is a normal practice for that society. What I am saying is that you see people doing alot of things inappropriate. Yet, they say that it was done because they have money. They don't say that it is bad, and people should not do it. Do you know why they are saying it? That's right. That individual would do exactly that when he/she is in that position. Beside, it is noble when one is rich because they have been in position to distort money for themselves. It is praised by the society that one can study so hard and get the degree so they can get in position to get ridh through distortion. They don't view it as bad thing. Instead, they think that it is an accomplishment. My friend, If a society embraces corruption and impunity as we have seen in Cambodia, that society would never be better. It's very true when you look at Cambodia today.
