I'm bringing this subject back here again because the evidence is clearer now that Khmer Rouge atrosity didn't just come from the ruthless of its policies. It was possible by a long indurance of poor peasants who had suffered so much from higher class. They clung to a regime for the first time in along time when they were elevated to be the superior race of Cambodia. We are not discussing the legitimacy of what is right or wrong. We are talking about the reality. Cambodian people have been embracing their social norms for a very long time. There are different class of people within their own country. They treate each other as such. We are not trying to legitimize Democratic Kampuchea. We are just discussing about the reality of their own social illnesses. Cambodians have been embracing impunity for a very long time even after the fall of Khmer Rouge regime. They have not realized why their own people kill each other in vengence. They praise those who have the opportunity to corrupt so they can be rich individually. Cambodians also embrace corruption as their way to get things done. They bribe officials from the bottom all the way to the top. Why are they doing it? It is because that is what they only know.
