I am very  sorry to hear today about the death of Lim Piseth trying to climb
and post our National Flag on the top of Everest Mountain. Admire to his
courage and adventure in order to realize his valuable dream as a first
Cambodian youth in Heaven Land! I would like to express my deep sorrow to his
memory and his whole family!

Regards.

FYI-

Dear Paon Perom,

In  1986, I tried and reached an altitude of 3500 metres. At 5000-8000
metres, there are hundreds of frozen bodies of climbers who died of
various reasons. It costs $10,000 per person to climb the Everest. This
does not include the cost of bringing the body back to Earth.

I feel sorry for Lim Pisit. He is probably the first Khmer to have
almost reached the Preah Sumeru summit, and not just the Veal Sumeru in
front of the National Museum in Phnom Penh.

Cambodia needs more adventurous young men like him. Ten years ago, a
young Cambodian military cadet girl died from parachuting drill in
Cambodia. She was a very brave girl in deed.

Salute to both of you!

Supote
