There different parties in America. They have different visions of what they want to lead America if AMERICANS ELECT THEM to lead. When in the office, they will use their skill to serve their constituants. Beside, the strength of American politics is the ability to cooperate for the sake of the American interest. They would sacrifice what they believe to join hands so their national interest can be fullfilled.
In Cambodia, there are a party in power who would do anything as they please in power. There are opposition parties who would do anything to oppose the party in power. Please reread this paragraph to make sure you understand it before you proceed. This is what Cambodia would never realized their potential because politics always fight each other for power. They don't put their national interest before anything else. Their own rhetorics play major role instead. So Cambodians will always fight one another. Their national interest has never be in the forefront. They always accuse one another for selling their land when one party doesn't play the way the other wants. There are no compramise for their national interest. What Sam Rainsy has been doing abroad is that he wants other nations to put Cambodia under current regime down. That's right. Cambodia under current regime is a legitimate Cambodia in the eyes of other nation. If he wants them to help him to contrast his view from his Cambodian government, he means that Cambodia today is not legitimate. What is he saying? Does he want other nations to help him transform Cambodia to his view? Does he really believe that today Cambodian government really the enemy of Cambodian people? What is he saying? I strongly believe that Sam Rainsy has his own interest before Cambodian national interest. I'm not saying whether today Cambodian government serve it or not. I'm saying that Sam Rainsy is very clear to the world that he wants the power to himself. And he wants other nations to join him so he can overthrow today Cambodian government. It's very clear that other nations will not join him at all. He can say all he wants about democracy etc.....
