It is not in the constitution with such situation. There is nothing written in the constitution that an elected person in National Assembly can secure his/her seat when his/her political party in which he/she was elected disappear. Therefore, it is up to individual interpretation. It us not just the CPP, even the US republican or democrat, when they see flaws in their opponents move, they will use that flaw to their own benefit. Cambodia constitution was written by dictators to begin with. Therefore, it bound to have so many flaws. Instead of recommending to amend the constitution, Subsedi viewed it as step backward which having no clue how to prevent it from happening again in the future. Did the UN sent a useless envoy to Cambodia? There is another aspect that Subsedi should recommend to amend the Cambodian constitution. At least one of the self-proclaimed demorat in the National Assembly who is happened to be an American should know and understand this aspect more the the rest of the members parliament : Terms limit. Did Subsedi or UN especially Mu Sochea utter "Terms Limit" in these past 20 years?
