Cambodia dilemma : Damned if you do, damned if you don't. When Sihanouk was almost broke in the 60's, Hanoi was his buddy-buddy. When Hanoi didn't help him later on, Hanoi is eternal enemy. Now, Sihanouk is gone, Raingsy is taking over what Sihanouk could not achieve. He even went farther by telling Kampot citizen that he will take Koh Tral back if he win the election. Those people really believe him with no question asked of what will it take to reclaim Koh Tral back. They could not even maintain what is left now, and they dream about recovering what was lost 100 of years ago. They should start to plant the banana tree now. Cambodian Spring? CNRP chief whip Son Chhay agreed. “Cambodia is a small country. Our people do not have that type of divide in our society,” he said. “It’s a question of people’s rights. It does not have anything to do with religious fanatics and divides…and we have so much suffering in our recent history. I don’t think we’ll see bloodshed in the streets.” It is very much like Cambodian weather, there are no Spring in Cambodia. Only Very Hot and dry, very hot and wet.
