My friend's daughter boyfriend is a white American. He is a nice guy that any girl's mother wish that he will marry their daughter. Except a minor technical problem. She can not pronounce his name correctly or even close. His name is Brad. So, she stop trying and call him "Ka Pret" or "Ah Pret" ever since. At first, her daughter did not suspect a thing because she came to the US since she was a little girl. Therefore, she did not understand the meaning of word "Pret" in Khmer. One day, the daughter felt something unusual about her boyfriend name. So, when they were alone, the daughter asked her mother : what is "Pret", mom? And I am wondering if "Ka Pret" is also feeding from that big chunk of juicy steak? Who pay "Ka Pret" and his staff(salaries and diem)? In order to film how piranha feed, the film crews hang a good size meat or chicken with metal wire and submerge in the Amazon river. They came in groups : one take a bite and swim away to allow their compadre for their turn. It won't take long until that chunk of meat is gone.
