You snooze you loose kind of game. Last Saturday mass demonstration at Freedom Park bear little fruit for Raingsy. The ultimate goal of Raingsy and CNRP strategy is to lure Hun Sen and CPP to use force to suppress the demonstrators. Now, Raingsy and CNRP are using bigger bait by asking people from Vihear Suor to come to the capital to join the demonstration, and even tell them to camp overnight as well. Raingsy and CRNP knew very well that Freedom Park is not a camping ground, especially overnight stay. But, they asked their supporters to do it anyway. Yim Sovan of the CNRP just said he has informed the city about the planned 3 days demonstrations. He can send 1000 letters to inform the city, it is all boiled down to have a permit and the city governorwon't just issue any permit by just being informed. Eventually, Yim Sovann must apply for thepermit(s). Without the permit, Raingsy and CNRP won't be able to legally stage any mass demonstration. Raingsy had just tasted 4 years of exile and I don't think he will do it again. Nevertheless he even make anempty threat to stage mass demonstration on the street. Even Hun Sen and the CPP will issue the permit, it will come with a few conditions for sure. Prohibiting Overnight camping is definitely one of them or the CPP will just put two check points at the two bridges to block those people from Vihear Suor from entering the capital. There were never any bus line like city bus running thru or pass by that super highway anyway. Will Hun Sen and the CPP use force against the protester? Most likely not. By the 23rd of this month, Raingsy had exhausted all the road and he will use the old road that he took after 2008 election. Luckily for him, the Som of Haven had issue an invitation(command) to all 123 newly elected to meet with him at the National Assembly. Unfortunately, Raingsy is not one of those 123.
