As far as we know today, Kampuchea Krom is a part of Vietnam. You are not going to get it back. Put yourself in Thailand shoes as you put yourself in the Kampuchea Krom shoes. Thai people can claim part of Cambodia as their own territory. The difference is the legality of it. Look at the legality of it. Can Thailand get the part of Cambodia as theirs? Can Cambodians get Kampuchea krom as theirs?
Answer it yourself. I bet that you cannot answer that question. You, Cambodians, only know that you are being victimized. You really don't care the legality of it. You, Cambodians, only know the gain. You can't take the loss. Khmer Kroms are Vietnamese. They are not Cambodians. Khmer Surin are Thai nationals. They are not Cambodians. None of them want to be a part of the Cambodian society. If they do, they would have joined hands with Cambodia already since Cambodians have opened the gate so wide for them to come. So, Cambodians ought to respect the territories of their own neighbors. Cambodians are not victims. Peace can only come when people come together for peace.
