Dear CNRP members, supporters and friends,

My name is Sreyneng K. and as some of you may know, I am Vorn Pao's niece.
On January 2nd 2014, Vorn pao was beaten severely and arrested by the 911
arm force while he tried to tell people to not cause violence during a
protest by garment workers demanding a pay increase to $160/month. He was
unjustly put behind bars under crucial and pitiful condition for about 5
months. On May 30th of this year, Vorn pao and 24 others were released on
bail with their charges being suspended.
I have had the opportunity to speak with my uncle on the phone several
times since his release and he had asked me to personally thank each and
every single one of you here in Washington state who has followed his case,
condition and situation since his arrest. He would like to thank you all so
much for all of your support and even help with funds while he was in
prison. He said that he cannot tell you enough of how deeply appreciated he
is of everyone and hope that one day he could thank you all in person.
Vorn pao is in the process of being sponsored to visit his supporters in
America and Washington State will be one of the stop and he'd hope to have
the opportunity to meet you all and thank everyone in person. For the time
being, LICADHO is helping him and a few others who are in need of medical
help from the injuries caused by the arm force and arrest made in early
January, to go to Thailand for treatment.
Again, I thank you all so much for the many effort in helping and
supporting my uncle.

Sincerely,

Sreyneng K.
