Before I start, I want to make it very clear that all Cambodian political groups are not my fans. I just want to bring the facts so the world can understand why Cambodians destroy their own society.
As the history of Cambodia shows, each different factions among Cambodian people stand on their own ground and claim to be the best for their country. They fight the other factions in their own country to win their own rightiousness. They even went so far to gain support from other countries to help them destroy the other faction. All factions are different. CNRP and Sam Rainsy are not different. Look at the history of Sam Rainsy starting from the day that he first tried to win support from the Cambodian people in the early 90s. He claimed that the Cambodian government back then were run by Vietnamese. He even went so far to say that cabinet members of that government were Vietnamese. The reason he said that because the history of Cambodians shows clearly how much Cambodians hated Vietnamese. By saying that, Sam Rainsy hoped that the people would not vote for CPP. He was wrong. Sam Rainsy has claimed to be the opposition leader. Opposition leader means that he leads a group of people against the CPP at all cost. This proves to be another sad story for Cambodia. If Sam Rainsy really wanted Cambodia to be better, this kind of rhetoric would not exist. Unfortunately, a better future for Cambodia is not his number one priority. His winning at the ballot box is his goal. He has been preaching that he is for democracy. We all agree that democracy is not for Cambodia when all Cambodians agree to make it happen. Democracy would not be good for the people of Cambodia when the avenue to achieve democracy would divide Cambodia further apart from one another as it has been for many decades. This is just a little example of a deep rotten idea of Sam Rainsy. He came from a family who used to be in the upper class of Norodom Sihanouk era.
