After looking at
http://svn.sonatype.org/nexus/trunk/nexus-indexer/src/main/java/org/sonatype/nexus/index/creator/MinimalArtifactInfoIndexCreator.java,
it seems that archetypes need to have 'archetype' somewhere in the
groupId/artifactId in order for Nexus (& m2eclipse) to pick them up.
I've attached a simple patch for this issue.
