Some time ago, I wrote a tutorial for getting started with ServiceMix
(http://servicemix.apache.org/2-beginner-using-maven-to-develop-jbi-applications.html)
which includes a standard servicemix-eip wiretap. There also is a page
that explains how to replace this with a Camel route on
http://servicemix.apache.org/replacing-tutorial-eip-su-with-tutorial-camel-su.html.
Perhaps this can clarify things for you?
