Hi Could you post some more details of your error? What exactly do you do and type to run the examples?
Do you have maven properly installed? You can type: mvn -v to get maven version details. As you are running the snapshot version you might need to add the apache snapshot repo to the pom.xml. As the 1.5-SNAPSHOT .jars is not in the central maven repo server.
