It is interesting to add new SIP component for Camel. Charles, you could go on to implement this component. Here is the wiki page[1] for how to write a component for Camel. And you can take a look at the components of Camel to browser some ideas. Then you can submit a patch to the JIRA[2].
What library are you going to using to implement the SIP ? We need figure out if it's license is friendly to Apache.
