Great. Will give it a go over the weekend. Associating microsofts products ( xls , doc etc ) with wordpad seems to get over the problem. It looks like these files create a temporary file for recovery purposes.
However on our test server the file in question was a txt file that threw a FileNotFoundException. Maybe anti virus was running?
