For an MF camera, how about a name-card scanner? These seem small enough.
Maybe over a ground glass... but then, ground glass don't give a "soft" image of sorts, right?

Here is an idea i am going to try. My daughter has a cheap microtech scanner that I am going to tape to the back of a 8 X 10 in place of the film holder.
