Believe that Adams' 8x10 horizontal enlarger started life as some sort of camera. The Print, by Ansel Adams, Morgan and Morgan, c. 1968 has a schematic of his 8x10 enlarger. (See page 35/illustration 16). He has instructions for converting a standard view camera to an enlarger with enough detail to be feasible.

Aristo at one time made a cold light head that would adequately cover 8x10.

>Hello All,
> I was just wondering how many of you still use or are making an
>8x10. Last year I made my own monorail 8x10, including the bellows and
>am currently make a case for it. I find looking through a 8x10 almost
>intoxicating. Can't weight for spring to get hear so I can drag the
>thing around the woods.

> On a side note: Has anyone ever tried to make a 8x10 enlarger that
>works horiz' like Ansell Adams had.
