Hello,

I'm building my own 4x5 view camera (surprise!) and I'm asking myself wether
a filmplane centered swing and tilt on the backstandard is a big plus or not
in daily use.

The problem is that having the filmplane 'outside' the tilt axis of the
standard make construction easier. Also is filmholder insertion when the
back is positioned horizontal and tilted backwards easier since the standard
is not obstucting.

To have a real centered tilt and still allow horizontal filmholder insertion
I would have to make an L shaped standard, any experience out there with DIY
L shape standard?

Thanks in advance,

Huib
