I don't have a clear concept of the piece you need, but if it's made 
out of spring steel, try looking at http://www.smallparts.com, 
http://www.mcmaster.com/ or http://www.reidtool.com. These sites 
have all kinds of parts.  You may end up having to manufacture 
your own piece, but the above places have the raw materials to 
make just about anything.  I know of other places, but those 
companies are on my PC at home.  Let me know if you need more 
places to look, and I'll round those up as well.
