Eastman View Camera No. 2, 7 X 11 in. format. This camera is ca. 1920.
Richard Knoppow found an ad for it in the 1919 American Annual of
Photograqphy. It was well-used and shows it. The bellows is all there, but
is separated from the camera on 2 sides. There is no back, but this should
not be a problem for this group. All the hardware seems to be there. The
opening on the back looks like it would accomodate 8 X 10. The bellows draw
is 15-18 in.
The back of the sliding lens board is stamped "7 X 11 Eastman View." The
bottom of the camera is stamped 136158.
The price is $50, which would be a great deal just for the hardware and rack
& pinion. It weighs about 10#, so I'll charge $20 for boxing & shipping. I
have photos of it, which I will scan & send to anyone interested.
I also have a 5 X 7 Gundlach enlarger, vintage 1920s I think, which is in
great condition including double-glass negative holder. Lots of beautiful w
ood. I don't have the original bulb or the baseboard, if it had one. I do
have the original vertical stand & bolts which attaches to a baseboard. I
can't recall if there is a lensboard, and it's stashed away. If anyone is
interested, I can dig it out and take photos. I would like $90 for this rare
item.
