<<< vibration-free, X-synched portrait use?>>>
Chuckle, chuckle. That reminds me of my misspent youth in the 1950s
doing portraits with my Model C Graflex and later with my friend's RB
Model D. In both cases, the procedure was the same; compose, raise the
mirror and open the curtain then fire the front shutter with X sync.
Then rewind the curtain and reset the mirror. What? No front shutter???
I made my own lens boards for my Model C and used any large enough
shutter-mounted lens I had. Clunk! Zipthunk! Click. It was fascinating
and then I graduated to 35 mm SLRs and still use my ancient Canons (FX
and A-1). The Graflex is long gone, dammit! bye, sid.
