Interesting discussion on large format stereo. I hadn't
thought about this in a long while but Modern Photography
had a compact scheme of placing two mirrors and lenses
to view larger, seperated stereo pairs:

for 2.25" and 4 x 5.

I have a couple of Koni - Omega 90mm lenses and a torpedo
back that will easily do two side by side 6 x 9. The
lens winding is a simple side to side pull. The exposures
can be synchronized by shimming one of two holes in a
side to side pull stick that engages the two shutter
pins, again in the back. Attach one lens to a flash and
adjust the other shutter activating hole until you see
the flash through both... Should synchronize well on one
or two speeds..

Now if I take TWO torpedo backs and some 6" Metrogons and
place them 3 feet apart, and use a 300mm viewing lens for
the pairs... :)
