Now is the time to get philosophical about the large pictures.Successful
portrait studios never hang a
portrait less than 16 X 20 on display in the studio and they sell only
big prints.
We had a show of LF prints at a local gallery,30 X 40 sizes.Here I am
looking at a print called "Tree planters returning to camp".It is a shot
of a bare mountainside, completely denuded of trees.Where the hell are
the tree planters.?? Getting up closer ,there is a fine horizontal line
running thru the center of the print.
Guess what ,a ROAD and there on it is alittle truck about 1/4 inch high.

TA DUMMMN!!! "THE TREE PLANTERS" sitting on the side of a 30 X 40
inch bald mountain.
Only in Large format would you see such a contrast.

There is the other tact ...We have the mechanical optical fascination of
the camera collector,
only bigger is more fun with LF.
