I had seen this problem when running Camino under 10.1.5. If I remember correctly, the last nightly build that did not delete/rename the bookmarks file under 10.1.5 was the September 8 nightly. Since moving to a machine running 10.2.8 I haven't had any additional problems with the bookmarks file being moved around.

I'm seeing similar problems. In a nutshell when Camino shuts down it appears to toss my bookmarks.xml file but instead leaves behind a "_bookmarks_temp.xml" with the default bookmarks. This misbehavior appears to have started with the early september builds.

In order to get around this I keep a backup of my bookmarks file and use a small shell script to to copy the backup file to bookmarks.xml before launching Camino.

I have a problem with Camino corrupting the bookmarks.xml file. I use URL Manager Pro 3.0.6 to save my bookmarks to Camino. Camino will then start and run fine. If I quit Camino, it will shut down without any errors. However, upon starting it up again it complains that it cannot parse the bookmarks.xml file and starts without any >> booksmarks.

Any idea what's happening during shutdown to corrupt the file? I'm running Camino 2003100911.
