The problem is that the default installation of most web servers is set to return text/plain as the default mime type for all unknown files AND they don't include .DMG as a type. Since most servers are run by windows or unix guys and .DMG is pretty much a Mac only thing they don't think to add .DMG as a binary mime type.

Doesn't Mozilla have a way, in the preferences, to specify the default action for files based on their extension? Couldn't this functionality be added to Camino.
