When you have an image that's bigger than your window size. Then it gets scaled, and you have the magnifying glass "+" or magnifying glass "-" toggle, when you click on it.
I'm not a big fan of this default, either. I'd like to turn it off, too. I.e., have all images load at full size - with scroll bars when necessary. Then, if I want to toggle between full-size & scaled-to-window-size, I can click. But I want the initial state to be full-size. Somewhere along the line, this changed. It used to be the default was full-size, now the default is scaled-to-window. Yeah, it's just "one click", but it gets annoying if you're browsing a lot of large pictures. Also, it's about the principle - cool feature, but the user (i.e., me) should be able to specify what the default display mode is, for large images. > I've never seen Camino scale images without HEIGHT and WIDTH attributes in > inline image tags.
