I gave up on Camino a few months ago. I find that Safari works better and is a lot more pleasant to use. Both Safari & Firebird are a lot faster & more stable than any recent Camino build. Unless the Camino people get their act together and get it at least as fast as Firebird, I won't use it again.
Well, my experience is that the release 0.7 version was as stable as a rock.. more so than Safari in fact. It certainly is to be expected that nightlies do give up some stability. But I also think that current nightlies are now starting to get more stable than ones from 2 weeks ago. If you've been following the list, you should know that the devs are working towards a 0.8 release.. I;m sure that they won't do it until the application was as stable as the 0.7 release version.
i personaly use randomly choosen nigtilies (i can't use 0.7 release, i'm missing some feature, like fast type find), and i don't have problems with stability, just with some features (and this terrible flashing on Panther). On other side, Safari is crashing quite often, when i tested it... on some specific pages, but regulary... And is not able to work correctly with my bank, yet.
<editorial>I hope that you're prepared to pay 130 each year to keep Safari current. You won't be forced into that with Camino.</editorial>
<user experience>And be prepared for long development cycles between relases and rather chaotic switching on and off of some features in Camino</user experience>
And you are not paying 130 bucks for Safari, my dear...
BTW, if am i right, you can download current version of webCore and "upgrade" Safari partialy to the Panther version... isn't it? .)
