I'm back using Camino, after flirting with Firebird for a while. The latest nightly is very, very fast, and I feel better now.
That said, I'm still seeing a rendering problem with sites that use frames. When the page first loads, there are large sections of the page that doesn't display, and is filled with white instead of page content.
A good test is the Second Story site:
<http://www.secondstory.com/>
Is there a bug open for this already? If not, can anyone confirm this behaviour?
Hi,
Yes, I confirm it too, on the site You posted, as well as on one of the German sites I'm working on: the frames rendering problem can be always reproduced, since panther, with all nightly builds of Camino I've been trying up to now, inclusive the nightly of December 5th:
http://www.kids-hotline.de/ -> after the "preloading" frameset loads, the top frame is garbled, and when surfing thru the site ("Forenberatung") and other links, serious flaws in the interface show up.
We use a lot of JavaScript and DHTML there, so of course it's sort of a "hard" test, but it works wo any problem with all "other" mozilla's on Panther (well, no wonder since they're building their own gui...) as well as Safari. I'll post more details on what we're doing with JavaScript if anyone happens to need them.
For now, I think it's just another good link to test the problem...
Note: Resizing the window always makes the interface flaws disappear, and after the first load, when loading the site in another page, the problem on the top frame disappears.
Thanks for keeping Camino under developemnt. It's still my favorite browser. This is first nasty bug for me, that ever appeared ;(
Regards, Lorenzo Perone
