I'm using the 0116 build and see no such behavior with Camino hiding/unhiding -- I'm happily basking in the glow of click-and-hold, finally in the 20040116 build.

I also found (subjectively, I'm afraid -- so I can't really be sure of this) that my incidence of runaway Camino cpu usage was lessened considerably by moving to the 7.0r19 (December 8, 2003 created date -- so it's fairly new) Flash plugin.

However, while that considerably lessened the behavior (which I noticed tended to occur while browsing pages with noticeable Flash content), it has not completely eliminated it.

A good tip for folks noting problems with Camino is to make sure the attached bric-a-brac (plugins, 3rd party system add-ons, etc) is at the most recent release. The OS X software environment is rapidly changing, and every software maker (well, every good one, at least) is updating their stuff to eliminate bugs in their code or workarounds for Apple's bugs (or Apple's fixes to previous bugs).

While Camino was idle and hidden i happen to run TOP to check on something, and found Camino bouncing around between 50% - 70% cpu usage!

(yes, i also wrote the post about not being able to hide Camino. I've no idea how it got hidden since clicking the menu or typing the shortcut wouldn't do it.)
