I just typed in a couple of Chinese Unicode characters (引用) into the Yahoo search field, and when the new page came up, the Unicode had been transformed into '引用' - I guess that's the URL-encoded representation. But if I reentered the characters, and redid the search, the page came back with the normal glyph representation. The same thing happened with Lycos, except that it never returned to the "normal" behavior. If I tried it with the symbol lookup function on quote.yahoo.com (which of course would come up with nothing, in the page returned the characters were rendered as glyphs (but I suppose they would be, as it's proper HTML) Jim Witte [EMAIL PROTECTED] Indiana University CS
