So far, the only browser to make extensive use of <link>tags is Opera 7 under Windoze.
I think what you're talking about is also supported by Mozilla on any platform. I suppose it's done via XUL, so Camino should build its own way to implement <link>s
No: Mozilla will show you that they're there in View | Page Info | Links but nowhere (that I can find, and to be of use one shouldn't have to search!) does it provide a way for you to activate them!
