Oh, i get it. In other words, something i won't be using in this
lifetime unless it becomes a ubiquitous background thing that i never

It's a language that's part of XSL (a stylesheet language for XML
which allows, among other things, specifying styling/formatting of an
XML document) and describes how to transform one XML document into
another using the vocabulary of XSL. Basically it matches patterns
with templates. I've only ever used it for source code documentation,
to transform Docbook XML into XHTML + css.
