Those instructions assume you're running tcsh and installing an older version of fink than you did. Undo the changes you made to .tcshrc and execute the command:

open /sw/bin/pathsetup.command

I'm trying (again) to build Camino on Panther (10.3.3). I've upgraded to 0.70 of Fink (from cvs), and taken it through the installation of the Obit, glib, and zip/unzip libraries successfully (I think).

The only problem I had was when I ran step 3 (of the build instructions), when I tried 'source ~/.tcshrc'. It gives me the error

Jim-Wittes-Computer:~ jswitte$ source ~/.tcshrc
-bash: alias: append_path: not found
-bash: alias: if ( $\!:1 !~ \!:2\:* && $\!:1 !~ *\:\!:2\:* && $\!:1 !~ *\:\!:2 && $\!:1 !~ \!:2 ) setenv \!:1 ${\!:1}\:\!:2: not found
-bash: alias: prepend_path: not found
-bash: alias: if ( $\!:1 !~ \!:2\:* && $\!:1 !~ *\:\!:2\:* && $\!:1 !~ *\:\!:2 && $\!:1 !~ \!:2 ) setenv \!:1 \!:2\:${\!:1}; if ( $\!:1 !~ \!:2\:* ) setenv \!:1 \!:2`echo \:${\!:1} | /usr/bin/sed -e s%^\!:2\:%% -e s%:\!:2\:%:%g -e s%:\!:2\$%%`: not found
-bash: /sw/bin/init.csh: line 86: syntax error near unexpected token `('
-bash: /sw/bin/init.csh: line 86: ` foreach i ( /sw/etc/profile.d/*.csh )'

my ~/.tcshrc file is:

source /sw/bin/init.csh

What causes this error (is is because the default install of Darwin uses bash instead of tcsh?), and is it anything to be concerned about, since the later Orbit/glib/etc distributions installed fine?
