According to Apple, they have already fixed this bug in Mac OS X 10.4. The

I thought think secret said that 10.3.4 was fixing such issues ....

Couldn't find any explicit mentioning of NSQuickDrawView in those news,
but the range of categories sounds somehow good, and the fact that both
10.4 and 10.3.4 have something to do with a .4 leaves some room to hope
that Josh Aas could have "swapped" one by the other. However, his post
was very clear about versions, and we're not going to ask how reliable his
information is here...

This doubt/question is best answered by a developer with
the current 10.3.4-seed installed... if posting "the bug is dead!"/
"the bug's still there" on this list is compatible with the
NDA he signed (not to mention the "compatibility" with the
time/space to install the release and test it...)

The rendering problem doesn't happen in FireFox.
Camino is the only browser I've used with this problem.

For the records, I'll quote of Mike Pinkerton on http://www.nslog.org/mt/archives/000008.html (hope this is ok...):

"Yeah, because none of those use NSQuickDrawView like Camino. It's a shim
that allowed us to get up and running very quickly w/out having to rewrite
mozilla to use quartz. That would take months.

Apple needs to fix their
regressions."

p.s. by the way, the latest 0.8-nighty is the best i've ever tried,
just downloaded it... love this browser ... :-)
