I've installed a System Preference pane addon called MenuMeters. It
can monitor CPU usage, memory, network thru-put and disk usage and
show in your Menu Bar. So I galnce up at that occasionaly when I
suspect something's going wild.

Right now I have four applications runnning. Camino has four tabs open
with one media rich page <http://zed.cbc.ca/go.ZeD?page=home> running
as I type in Gmail.

CPU usage is at almost 100%, but now I need to know how much of that
Camino is using. Checking the Activity Monitor, I can see that Camino
is using about 50% of the CPU currently. If I click away from that
media rich page, the CPU usage will drop. All I did to get the CPU
usage down to about 25 to 30% is go to the "Contact Us" link at the
bottom of the Zed page.

So, is Camino using to much of the CPU with this page essentialy in
the backgroud? I think it runs wild if I close all applications and
all other tabs in Camino and the CPU usage is still at near 100%.
There are some suggestions that Camino should shut those animations
down when they are in the background or have a command that would shut
them down.

That's the method I've been using.
