We have a bug that popped up in recent OS upgrades that causes mailto (or news, or other protocols in this vein) to be rejected as "unsupported". It's a new "security feature" of the OS to ask you if you're sure you want to this the first time one is launched, but Camino doesn't correctly interpret the response from the OS.

Does anyone have any documentation on changes to internet config and the new error codes or API that we can call to do what safari does?

Note that the workaround is to launch a mailto: url from safari and then it should work fine in Camino.

Why is there no 'mailto' protocol on Camino? All the other browsers enable that option.
