I just had a problem that I didn't think I had. I clicked the link to a
disk image (.dmg) file and Camino attempted to load it as if it were a
web page. Luckily, this file is "only" 1.7 MB. I just continually hit
command-period until the page finally stopped loading but I was
dismayed. Why would it think that a disk image is text? Why would it
think that it's something that can be displayed? I guess I just don't
understand mime types or something because this is truly baffling to
me. In Mac OS 9, we had the ability to set handling for various file
types. That's not around anymore. Anyone have any ideas why this is
happening? It happens in Safari too but worse because Safari totally
locks up.
