That's a real shame
I greatly prefer the alert boxes for two reasons:
* They work better for me when I'm using tabs to queue pages... often I
will do a search or something and open a few tabs with results and if I
don't know there is an error ahead of time the originating page may be
gone and not in any sort of "back" for me to get back to recover from
the error
* There are a few cases where I semi-often have issues where crappily
written web systems put me in a state of redirects on login and if
there is a failure in the middle of the process then it just makes more
work to go back and resubmit data instead of simply hitting the alert
and being right were I was before.
Sure, most of the time it doesn't matter to me which style of error
shows, but in a few cases I *really* don't like the XUL style and
therefore have used those prefs in other browser (mozilla suite)
installations in the past, and would greatly prefer to use them going
forward in Camino.
