FWIW, here is my initial impressions (in no particular order):
Don't care for the "tabs," cosmetically. The darker backgrounds make favicons that don't have a proper mask really stand out. Don't much care for the left align and don't care much for the left align of the close box. Visually, the ones from 0.84 release seem to be the best (these actually LOOKED like tabs). But I'll get used to it, I suppose.
Various folks seem to have very different issues with CitiBank online. For me, there was only one issue; I could NOT download the pdf bank statements; I had to use IE to accomplish this. All other functions worked fine. BINGO, 0.9a1 has seemingly fixed the issue! Happy camper.
Camino Extra Prefs seems to be non-functional. Yes, ad blocking is now in Camino, but the other function CEP was useful for was editing the SearchURL plist. As it now uses that file from the ~Library/Application Support/Camino folder, I edited it with a text editor... but found that using a text editor seemed to have issues, so I just used the PLIST Editor. I sure hope the function of editing that file appears in the prefs panes before we reach beta.
As to ad-blocking, could there be an exception list for this function in addition to pop-up blocking? The ad blocking can block navigation buttons (one example is imdb.com; there's no point for them to "fix" this issue as they are ad-supported) on certain sites.
Speaking of which, now that 0.9 alpha is out, where can I see the feature add list for 0.9?
Oh, one more thing! It really, really is snappier! _______________________________________________ Camino mailing list [email protected] http://mozdev.org/mailman/listinfo/camino
