When I look at my /Library/Internet Plugins folder I see several java related files:

JavaPluginCocoa.bundle
Java Applet.plugin
JavaEmbeddingPlugin.bundle
MRJPlugin.plugin
Java Applet Plugin Enabler

I guess the Java plugin, which is bundled with Camino supersedes them but as I sometimes have java problems they might be related to the above mentioned files.

Does anyone know, which of those files are needed or which can or should be removed?

When I look at about:plugins I see four different java plugins listed:

Java Embedding Plugin 0.9.5
OJI Plugin for Mac OS X, v1.0
Java Plug-in (CFM)
Java Plug-in

I guess the listed order mirrors the way the appropriate plugin is determined, is that correct?

If my several installations of Java plugins are the cause of some problems it might be an idea to add some specific checking routines to Camino to make sure that Java works correctly. In my case the java applet from http://www.de.map24.com/ doesn't always work, so far I haven't been able to find out, why.

Cheers,

  Martin
