Hi List,
I've just made up a search string for the Search engine wrapper
Lexiquo (http://www.lexiquo.net), which is, at least for certain
types of
searches, a very helpful one. I noticed that the search string %s gets
always encoded to utf-8 (and then urlencoded). I know that for English
searching people letters such as ü and ö and the like are not a bother,
but I'm living in Germany and even the city I live in has such an exotic
char in it (München), when spelled in German.... :/
So, my question is: is there some hidden way to specify the charset in
SearchURLList.plist, which Camino should use to encode the %s-string
(or is there another one for iso-8859-1, which is a very common
charset)?
I know, every website *should* be on utf-8 nowadays, but well, I have no
influence on most of them.. ;)
The site specifies its charset in their headers. Ok, Camino hasn't
loaded the page at the stage where it encodes the %string... but..
well, any solution?
Thanx!
Lorenzo
