Hi, I am brand new to Camino as of yesterday, and to this Camino ³mailing list² as of about two minutes. My search for an answer to a technical problem with Camino is what led me to the ³Camino mailing list.² It was my understanding that I could post a question or what I wish, and other ³members² could respond to my post. But I cannot find such a posting place, or blog or whatever to reach such posts, respond to them, or read others¹ responses. I could only find this, a place to email to. First, could someone please explain in simple terms if I am doing this right, or misunderstand the Camino mailing list and what it is and is used for?
Most important, I would like ideas on how to solve the following problem. I subscribe (am a member of) a few websites. I have always had access to all parts of these websites. As of today, I only have very limited access to these sites I belong to. I wrote to the webmaster of the sites I had problems with, and he gave me this response: ³You have to unblock cookies...either you've set your browser to block cookies or have a firewall or "privacy blocker" that is interfering with cookies...² I do not know if my downloading Camino yesterday is related to these problems, but it¹s pretty coincidental. Furthermore, when I use Safari (the browser that came with my computer, and what I used to use until Camino), I again can access all areas of the websites without any problem, like I used to. So I went to Camino¹s ³Preferences² and ³Security² page (or something) to check and see if the option (first on list) to enable access to all cookies was checked, and it was. I tried to research about a ³privacy blocker² or firewall with Camino, and I came up with no information. My question is: How can I regain full access to all parts of the websites I belong to when using Camino? Incidentally, Camino is now my default browser. I would greatly appreciate someone¹s response to this. Thanks for your time. Sincerely, Tim _______________________________________________ Camino mailing list [email protected] http://mozdev.org/mailman/listinfo/camino
